Ceramic Tower Side

This ca. 12-inch ceramic tower was my first go at a recollection of Ake. I guess it looks more "modern" than "Mayan" but I'm pretty happy with the results. As you can see I'm experimenting with white slip on top of terracotta this semester. It seems to work pretty well. On top of that some thin glaze and a bit of iron oxide.
