A humble trowel and pruner, just about the only tools you need to produce a fantastic garden. Sustainable landscape practice encourages the use of hand tools over power tools, reducing the need for extraneous power, and also providing more control for the gardener. As a gardener, these small hand-held tools help me learn more about the plants and their status (healthy, buggy, etc.) in the landscape.
