Grass flower
This is a grass flower, an example of a flower without petals. Apetalous flowers like grass may be pollinated by the wind, not insects. The clear glassy structure to the right is the stigma, where pollen lands for fertilization. The cylindrical structure to the left is the anther, the male part of the flower. It will open and release pollen into the wind.
If you go to our group page "BAC Botany for Designers" you can find sketches of grass flowers made by my students with the parts labelled.
