Composite flower
Daisies, sunflowers, asters, dandelions, crysanthemums, and many other species have composite flowers. The flower head is actually an infloresence with dozens, even hundreds of flowers. This is an example of reduction, which plants and many other organisms have evolved over time. Bottom line, reduction is economical. Each flower is shaped in a special way to maximize the chances of pollen meeting egg. The flower in this picture is fully mature and seeds have begun to form at the base.
