04/04 #35 #38 long johns/pajamas
These are size 104's. My son measures in chest/waist/hips as a size 92 so I first made both the shirt (04/04 #35) and the pants (04/04 #38) in striped JERSEY in size 104. The pattern calls for RIBBING but I thought jersey might work since DS really is a size 92 width. The pants were way too tight in jersey so I made another pair in ribbing; thankfully I bought both the jersey and ribbing when fabric.com had them.
Secondly, there is no diaper ease in this pattern in size 104. My 3.5yo son still wears diapers to bed so next time I will add some back crotch height (or is it called length?).
I used a honeycomb utility stitch to do the hems because I was too lazy to switch to a twin needle on the sewing machine. Oh, and he has breakfast stains on his sleeve already...
