So a few weeks ago, I returned from Calgary, AB and effectively mangled Bishoujo Black Canary trying to "fix" it, the it being what I perceived to be a greater than normal amount of tilt.
Well, thanks to fellow collector in Singapore, I was able to get another Black Canary, albeit the limited one in blue. Other than again, understanding that climate really screws with collectibles, everything generally worked out.
So, unsurprisingly, the limited edition Blue Canary is effectively the same as the standard one, blue aside. The base MIGHT be different on the 2.0 release of Black Canary, but I think the one I have is the 1.0. The sculpt is the same, though I will say now that I'm taking a second look at both of them, I can see where some shortcuts were taken on the sculpting of the hair.
Finer details are still in place, which includes the lacking on the back of the bodice as well as those lovely leggings, though sadly this version features blue stockings rather than being bare legged.
So with regards to the real purpose of this second purchase, it's slight but there is a height difference on the one heel in question of about 1 mm, which doesn't seem like much, but when you multiple that slight change over a far distance, well, you see what happens. I guess there was enough give in the other boot that allowed for this slight deviation to continue to be assembled, resulting in the final product.
Overall, I'd call this a QC flaw, which, again given the nature of the beast, isn't out of the ordinary. It's just unfortunate this particular imperfection is one that was very easily spotted.
