Calendar "Annus horribilis" as regards the interminable drought (from June 2021) and the oppressive and relentless heat that has affected the whole area of "my photographic expertise" from June (2022), coming to give the final blow to the already strongly weakened local vegetation.
The photo was taken (bravely) on the long "Giulio Nuovo" gate which crosses the vast bed of the Cellina torrent, which is (should be...?) the main river course of the Friulian Dolomites.
In front there is the pleasant railway bridge, while (see notes), behind it, the little town of Montereale Valcellina is half-hidden by the vegetation.
In the background, to the right of Mount Fara, as per the notes, there are 2 important peaks of the Carnic pre-Alps, Mount Resettùm and Mount Raut.
