Mount Storžič (2132m a.s.l.) after the Last Snowfall of this Really Poor Cold Season, Largely Concluded; Kamniško-Savinjske Alpe Mountain Group "A", Slovenija
28-April-2022: the photo was taken from the top of the road to Paulitschsattel/Pavličevo sedlo/mountain pass (1339m a.s.l.), Bad-Vellach, Austria.
Here we are at about 1380m of altitude, along the slopes of a ridge that then, downhill, lead to the Pass, from where you return to Slovenija.
Oh yes (downhill...), a mountain Pass is the lowest point of a mountain chain or the intersection between two chains, so it is not always the highest point of the road leading to it.
I returned to these parts a few days after the previous photos precisely because a last snowfall was expected, whose maximum intensity occurred in this area, especially towards the nearby Savinja region (up to 30cm/1ft, above 1450m a.s.l.).
