So, Camille tagged me about a week ago, back when it was 16 things, but now it's 9, and that's what I'm going with, because I don't think I can come up with 16!
1. My husband and I married young--both barely 19--and had 4 kids by 30. Now we're 42, and the kids are rapidly growing up and out! I don't regret starting young for a second. I adore my family, and wouldn't change a thing.
2. I talk way too fast and too much, and often get myself into trouble. A trait passed down by the women in my family.
3. I LOVE taking pictures, and really want to learn how to transfer what's in my mind to the images I produce.
4. I also love to crochet. I keep it simple--just blankets--it's a great stress reliever! I just finished this blanket today and in a couple days will be sending it off to a friend. I love it--it feels like a big hug.
5. I want to be all sophisticated and well-read, but I'm really not. I have and still do read some of the classics, but I'm much happier with a light-hearted novel.
6. Same thing with movies. HATE horror movies, and don't really like sad ones either. Life is scary and sad enough. When I watch a movie I want to be entertained.
7. I'm quite a loner. I love having the house to myself, or just Kirby and I. I have a few great friends, and really enjoy spending time with them, but I really enjoy alone time.
8. My sister died of cancer when she was 34. She was the oldest of 5--me the youngest. I've always really really regretted the fact that we weren't closer. I miss her alot, and it was 21 years ago.
9. My kids and husband are all smarter than me. I love it!!! I am very comfortable with who I am, and I've always felt safe having Kirby around to figure stuff out I can't. As my kids get older, I watch them and am amazed. They are so smart, and getting smarter every day, It makes me so proud I could burst! I'm not saying I'm dumb or anything, they are all just brilliant. (totally un-biased)
So there you have it--9 things you probably wish you never knew about me!
I hope this qualifies for the Artsy-Fartsy group--even though it's more Crafty-Wafty
