R. forrestii var. repens

A flower a day for the month of May, #20.

 

Rhododendron forrestii var. repens is a dwarf species rhodo native to China and Tibet. It is a very slow grower. This one has been in our garden for three years now and this is the first year it has flowered. I must say, the flowers were worth waiting for.
