Wednesday Workshop: Sew Your Own Skivvies Tutorial
by phthooey
It has taken me way too long to sew my own underpants. I bought about 10 pairs of my perfect cotton panties at a department store some 7 years ago. A couple years later, that store discontinued the style, and a year or so later the store went out of business. I've tried many other panties from many other stores, and no one can get it all right for me: the fit, the fabric, the cut, the comfort.
I've gotten more than my money's worth from this set of underwear and I accept that their time is up. Rather than throw more money at replacements that may not work out, I will let these tried and true basics leave me a lasting legacy: they will serve me one last time as a pattern for future generations of panties. Panties who will tell their grandpanties someday of their forebearers' selfless sacrifice. OK, I am taking this way too far. Moving on.
There are other panty tutorials on the web and a few of them address copying your own panties. None of the tutorials I found use the encased elastic and separate crotch piece that mine have, so I've documented this in case it helps anyone with similar "inspiration panties".
