prayer wheel bracelet in brick red

I named this bracelet for the resemblance of its beaded segments to the prayer wheels used by Buddhists, which is fitting considering how meditative and centering the process of creating them is for me.

The segments are created from Japanese glass seed beads with a needle and thread, one bead at a time, using a handweaving technique called "gourd stitch". Czech firepolished glass beads, sterling silver beadcaps, and a sterling silver trigger clasp complete the bracelet, which is strung on four strands of parachute cord.
