zebra Ornaments

Zebras are such an obvious temptation to the printmaker, considering how to depict life in black and white. They are inherently so graphic in their very skin. Though they aren't striped any which way. These hand-pulled linoleum block printed ornaments juxtapose two varieties of zebra, Chevy's and Burchell's. You can tell the Burchell's zebra because its main goes right up onto its forehead, and its stripes go down onto its belly. The Grevy's zebra's mane stops below its ears and its stripes end above its belly.
