Inspired by a ship decorating a 16th century Dutch map, I carved this jaunty vessel in linoleum and printed it in blues on deep blue Japanese unryu 'cloud dragon' paper with visible fibres and a variety of papers. The ship itself and several sails and flags are printed on Japanese washi papers. One sail is printed on vintage sheet music. This multimedia artwork is one of a kind!
It is 10.25" by 10.75" ( 26 cm by 27.3 cm).
