Zebras are such an obvious temptation to the printmaker, considering how to depict life in black and white. They are inherently so graphic in their very skin. Though they aren't striped any which way. These hand-pulled linoleum block printed ornaments juxtapose two varieties of zebra, Chevy's and Burchell's, back to back. The one on the right is known as Chevy's zebra and the one on the left is known as Burchell's zebra.
