Matrioshka multimedia

This is a romantic idea of Russia of someone who has never visited. Three nesting dolls, or matrioshka, matryoshka, or babushka dolls are linocuts printed on various hand-decorated papers and ephemera. All hands and faces are printed on Russian text. Behind them, supported by the matrioshka is a pen and ink drawing of St. Basil's in Moscow.
