Lego Classic Space 6890 reboot
This is my attempt to recreate the classic set 6890 Cosmic Cruiser, using only parts from the set 10497.
I’m pretty pleased with the result, although I had to do some compromises in some areas.
Most of the job was doing the wings with the same techniques used in 10497; it seems difficult initially, but it is not too hard once you understand how it works.
Designing the cockpit was more difficult than I thought, mainly because I needed a lot of clearance on the back to allow the small shuttle to slide in.
I initially designed the small shuttle to be a two seater, but the front had to be very minimalistic, so I decidedly to stick on the one seater (but it can be easily changed to the two seater version).
