How to add glowing lights in your Stud.io projects

A short tutorial on how to use lights in Stud.io.

There's a built in feature that makes the "Transparent Light Orange" color glow.

From the tests I did, it is better to use a dedicated piece for the glowing part, like if it was a bulb in real life, like in this photo.

I used a normal post, with a transparent clear glass, and inside it I put a small "bulb" in Transparent Light Orange.

There's only an issue, the Transparent Light Orange is actually orange when rendered, and will cast an orange light.

You can change its color (for rendering only) by editing the color in the file named "settings_v1.xml" (make sure to make a backup copy beforehand).

I can’t copy xml formatted text in here, so you can find a screenshot in this album, showing the configuration needed in Stud.io.

There should also be a different way to do this, but I could not make it work as I'd like, so far.

But this works pretty well for me.
