We don't all see the same photos
A side-by-side comparison of the same Flickr file as seen using two different web browsers.
It's been bugging me for a long time that the photos I upload to flickr came out looking washed out compared with the original files. I was using Firefox as web-browser at the time, and wondered if things would be different using a different browser.
On the left is a screen-shot of a flickr photo as seen using Firefox; on the right is the exact same file as seen using Safari. Exact same camera setting; no post-processing has been done other than to crop and merge. See any difference? The one on the right matches my orignal file as seen directly on my computer.
Very annoying, to say the least. No more Firefox for me. But it's also a bit distressing that other people aren't necessarily seeing the photos that you want them to see. Maybe old news to most, but an eye-opener for me.
