~ Life As I See it ~
Little Miss Lilly
Several weeks ago while doing my daily animal shelter cyber site jumping, I came across two young, beautiful, black Labrador sisters in a southern state high kill shelter . After a couple of days in the shelter, one of the sisters was adopted. This leaving the other alone for what was most likely the first time in her short little life. I worried for her. Her days were numbered and through no fault of her own she was to sit, for what was possibly her last days, in a cold, dark, cement cell. Luckily, I wasn’t the only one who noticed. I received a call from a rescue friend informing me she had gone and pulled this little black beauty. BCAA had agreed to foster her until a suitable family was found.
The following day, out of the blue, I receive a text message from a long time friend asking me if I knew of any dogs available for rescue. Her family of five wanted to add a Labrador canine companion making them a complete six pack. I forwarded BCAA’s information to her and suggested she mention this little “Lilly” I had seen.
Through the magic of the internet, the love of BCAA and the hands of God, all prayers for this little angel were answered. Today she arrived safely in NJ and this evening she is sleeping soundly in a new warm bed, surrounded by lots of toys and a ton of love from her new family. Welcome Home ~ Lilly
