Rust-bucket GP30 #717 leads a short train No. 3 through the siding at Junction City, Wis., on April 17, 1987.

 

The Soo's GP30s had seen a quarter century of hard service by this time. All of these units went to the Wisconsin Central in October 1987, with some still operating into the mid-1990s.
