Solomon Temple, Grand Canyon. From Red Canyon, mile 76. The sheer red cliffs are across the Colorado River. The top of this awe-inspiring temple is about halfway between the river and the rim. The temple is Redwall Limestone, no longer red because the iron-rich layers that generally overlie the Redwall have eroded away here. Brittlebush blooming in lower right.
