Wind poppy

North Fork of Merced River, after the turn to go east. This is a north-facing slope and the vegetation is interesting and different from the rest of the hike. It looks like the seed pod is already developing (green in center) but I don't know if the ovules within are already developing as well, or waiting to be fertilized.

-- It would be great for someone not allergic to poison oak to prune back the robust plants encroaching on this section of trail.
