Meadow in the making

Shallow pond between Shell Lake and Fantail Lake, just east of Yosemite. As sediment runs in, the pond gradually fills in, just as in the case of Mirror Lake in Yosemite Valley. Sierra Crest and the eastern ramparts of Mt. Conness just left of center on the skyline.
