College AEC
Some of the most profitable finds whilst scouring countries for interesting vehicles are found by leaving the main roads and burrowing off into small towns and villages. Portugal for me was no exception as very often during the middle of the day school, college and works buses could be found parked on various bits of spare ground or outside their driver's houses. Regrettably I can't say for certain exactly where this shot was taken as I took no notes, but zooming in to the original the board on the side of of the adjoining bus appears to read Santiago de Carvaleir. I can't find such a place on flickr's map, but a village listed with a similar name appears to be somewhere in the right place!
The low and short mid engined UTIC AEC was AH505 powered, and would I would gess, have come from the former National Bus Co, (Rodoviario Nacional) or RN.
