Dashing Dart 1.
The latest re- paint for the fleet of Stanways coaches of Rode Heath is this Alexander Dash bodied Dennis Dart, J702 YRM. The bus has been part of the fleet for just over a year but has unusually been operated in the livery of former owner Stagecoach. With a new MoT, seatbelts to make it more useful, a fresh coat of paint and lettering the dependable little bus was taken for a paintwork road-test this afternoon. Owing to a measuring mishap, we're missing the fleetname for the front panel.
Previous owners RML2418 Ltd of Wem so far as I recall never actually operated this bus ... unless 'vss1x' can say otherwise. It did however make a very useful and watertight store shed!
The above picture was taken as the sun was setting this afternoon between Chesterton and Audley, Newcastle under Lyme at Wood Lane with the Wedgwood monument at Red Street on the hill to our left.
