A fair few miles west of Bournemouth ...

... Is Winkleigh, now where the famed Bournemouth heritage bus collection can be found. Once the members of this wonderous group lead a charmed existance housed inside 'The Corporation's Mallard Road Depot, but since being moved on have led a bit of a nomadic life inspite of their custodians best efforts. Very recently the dozen or so buses, trolleys and service vehicles made the trek across to North Devon, and were displayed for all to see on the Oct 2nd open day.

In one corner of this particular Winkleigh clearing we can see (left) ORU 230G, an Alexander bodied Leyland Atlantean PDR1 - (centre) KRU55F, a Willowbrook bodied Daimler Roadliner SRP8 (originally SRC6) and (right) CRU 103C a Weymann bodied Leyland Leopard DP.
