Takin' the 'ump.

Padarn Bus Dennis Dart / Plaxton J989 JNJ negotiates the hump backed river bridge in the centre of Beddgelert as it sets off for Caernarfon a couple of Saturdays ago. The tidy looking machine had been new to south coast operator Brighton Buses in 1992 and still looks very presentable here. Is it just me though, or could you be forgiven for thinking Padarn Bus is part of the Stagecoach empire?

The sign (finger) post part way across the bridge is potentially confusing for unsuspecting motorists as the directions it refers to are actually in the foreground rather than immediately past it as convention dictates. Anyone turning left for Capel Curig on the far side of the river would be in for a nasty surprise as it's a cul-de-sac ... albeit a pretty one.
