Widnes 38
Widnes 38 was one of the buses involved in the operation of free bus services at yesterday's Llangollen Railway Event. Buses ran from Glyndyfrdwy station to Corwen, the intended terminus of the to be extended railway.
Widnes Corporation No.38, XTF 644B, a 1964 Leyland Titan PD2/40 with East Lancs. bodywork served sixteen years with it's original owner before being withdrawn for scrap. Thankfully preservation came it's way and I gather it now forms part of The North West Museum of Transport's collection at Saint Helens Museum.
