Cala - Den Bossa for me please!
A photo from the PMT archives showing four of their vehicles (all DPs) stickered up on Hanley Bus Station, for Lewis's Holiday Tours. Three of the vehicles concerned are Duple Dominant 'Express' bodied Fords, whilst the one nearest the camera is an AEC Reliance / Alexander Y Type. The last mentioned was collecting passengers for Cala - Den Bossa. I won't pretend that I know where that is, but I suspect the Reliance is DVT 167J whose mortal remains I own nowadays. From memory it was the last of the DVTs to be treated to a new application of NBC 'Local Coach' livery. Unfortunately, you'd probably only go as far as the airport on these, but I quite fancy a trip across the Continent in a 'Y Type'. Whether I would in one of the Fords depicted is another matter!
Linking into yesterday's post, I seem to recall that Lewis's work later went to Bakers.
