Refreshment halt.
My late friend John Cooke took a few slides on his travels with the Air Training Corps, albeit with a snapshot camera which didn't provide the sharpest of images. This rather pleasant example of a Western Alexander 'Y Type' bodied Leyland Leopard was taken at Inveraray as the dual purpose machine was on the long trek down the Kintyre Peninsular to Cambletown.
1968 built KCS 154F wasn't new at the time this photo was taken, but looked to be very smartly turned out.
The Godfrey Davis rentacar Ford Transit on the right was of its time, I remember their being a telephone kiosk on Stoke railway station Platform 1 where you could summon up a hire vehicle back in the '70s.
