A visually glorious machine.
My original intention when learning to colurise B&W images was to try to represent lost liveries, or to try to provide something where colour photos were rare or non-existent. However, I've erred from this intention on many an occasion when something I like takes my fancy!
This official PMT view of their New Daimler Roadliner coach C1097 is a case in point. In my defence, it is depicted at a more unusual angle which shows off all the grilles etc used to vent the rear mounted Cummins V6.200. In fact, in my humble opinion, its a glorious looking machine and one which carries the red and cream livery well.
Plaxton Panorama 1 bodied KVT 197E, delivered in 1967, was seen photographed here at Trentham Gardens, a location often used by the company for publicity shots. Elsewhere in my photostream there's 16mm silent colour cine film of this occasion when events were being recorded which included a new Alexander 'Y Type' bodied AEC Reliance .. . a type which served the company with far greater aplomb.
