Another publicity shot, this time showing one of the production batches of AEC 691 Swifts . . . or in LT parlance, Merlins. For the production deliveries, London Transport placed the bodywork order with MCW rather than with Strachans who built the pre-production examples.
I'm no London Transport scholar, but I'm minded to think that the bus illustrated here might be carrying country area green, so any confirmation or denial by someone who knows better would be welcome please.
