North Wales Classic Tours.
As I've remarked before, back in my early days of bus photography, I would have to have really have been given to a bout of gay abandon to raise my camera with expensive film, to photograph a 'lightweight' PSV. It's a decision with the onset of greater enlightenment which I've generally regretted. There's a whole representative swathe of our country's coaching history missing from my own collection as a result. In my defence however, film had to be used conservatively and often there wasn't sufficient for things which really did interested me.
As time moved on and I became a little more flush my take on things softened. Therefore, when out with one of my own coaches in the 1990s and I spotted this Plaxton Bodied bedford SB in Llangollen, it had its photograph taken!
North Wales Classic Tours was the operator, but other than the fact they also acquired a long lasting 'Butterfly Grille'd Petrol engined SB from near to me, I know nothing about them. They seemed to be one of a number of erstwhile operators of tours taking in, or working out of the Llangollen who seem to have ceased.
