A delightful anachronism.

A couple of postings ago, 'Life Stinks' asked If I'd got any pictures of Lugg Valley Coaches, well, I came across this one. Nothing special in the actual photograph or composition, but the coach itself was positively a dinosaur at the time when the picture was taken. I didn't take many pictures of Bedfords at all, but this SB was a must as it waited on Hereford's bus station layover park. I'm not sure who YNT 915 had been new to, but would hazard a guess that if the registration was original, it may have been ex Salopia of Whitchurch. The super 'roundy' Duple Vega bodywork contrasts sharply with the Viceroy on the right, let alone the Plaxton Paramount on the left.

Did the legal lettering read Dorothy Staples T/A Lugg Valley Motor Services, Leominster?

ps... thanks to 'Zippy' (and his link) we now know that the coach was new to Brown of Donnington Wood. (near Telford.)
