Brutonian Leyland Panther Cub.
There's been a fair bit of interest in things Brutonian of late, so I thought I'd post a couple more shots.
The Leyland Panther Cub, couldn't really be described as one of that great manufacturers better, or more successful products, but in the hands of independents, it, and many other less reputable types could be made to perform acceptably. BND 877C was an ex Manchester Corporation bus, with Park Royal bodywork, and is seen here in later life owned by interesting independent, Brutonian. The Panther Cub was as it's name suggests, a smaller version of the Panther, powered by a rear horizontal Leyland 400 series diesel. It had a Preston Corporaton Leyland Titan, and what looks to be a Harrington bodied AEC Reliance for company at the time of this rather poor shot. I'm not sure whether the double decker ever worked for the company, or whether it was someone's preservation pet which just happened to be in residence ... perhaps someone could enlighten us.
