Another pretty OK depot scene.

Yet another shot inside the main OK Motor Services Garage at Bishop Auckland!, Sorry, but the variety on offer was huge, so I thought it worth posting one more. Even in the years leading up to the close of business, and into the re branding OK Travel, there were still elderly front engined double deckers in wonderful condition to be found. The three full fronted examples seen here began life with Southdown several hundred miles away. The two vehicles which form the subject are ex LT BL class Bristol LH OJD 88R, and what I presume to be a Leyland Leopard with early Duple Dominant bodywork APT 155L. Never a fan of the former, I would have to grudgingly admit that these BLs, with power assisted steering, a body that fitted the chassis and semi automatic transmission were really quite good, infact the best of the chassis type in my opinion.

The picture would have been taken circa 1986.
