Standing in the rain at Bruton.

Mrs 'R' and I had a few days away, prior to the birth of our first daughter in 1987. For all except about ten minutes, it was either threatening to rain, raining or just stopping. In a slightly lighter shower we found ourselves in Bruton, Somerset, at one of the areas most interesting operators, 'Brutonian'. The operational vehicles tended to congregate at the end of the yard closest to the Railway Station, I imagine the premises was formerly the latter's good yard. Ex Bristol Omnibus flat screened RE OHU 768F has experimental London Transport AEC Reliance RW3, 497 ALH and Ex H&C Plaxton Derwent bodied AEC Reliance CYA 181J for company.
