Deiniolen Motors - Saro Tiger Cub.
When I looked at this picture, I was forced into a double take... was this the bus which I'd photographed only yesterday at Kirkby Stephen? This is FCK 844, coincidentally the preserved bus is 884. so I guess not, unless there was some mix up with registration plates. The old girl which would undoubtedly have looked very cutting edge when new, was decidedly vintage looking when surrounded by modern Bristol REs at Bangor bus station in 1979. That's not meant as a criticism from me, as I always mentally applauded those who were able to successfully keep older equipment in traffic. Deiniolen Motors Tiger Cub had been new to Ribble Motor Services. From memory, wasn't Saro's plant but a stone's throw from here across the Menai?
