Recalling a thought process.
When I came across this neg. whilst scanning tonight, I can recall what would have been going through my head at the time. Wishing that the coach was something other than a Bedford, but really wanting to take it's picture, I would have been desperately looking for something to add to the shot to make it more worthwhile, it would have to be a bit more than a bus portrait. Fortuitously the pub sign came to my rescue, along with the generally pretty surroundings in the town of Holt, Norfolk. What caught my eye was the Peckett 0-6-0 saddle tank, moreover, the fact that it was unusually portrayed on a road-going low loader.
The Duple Dominant II bodied Bedford YMT coach, BIL 8949, belonged I think to Sanders Coaches of the same town, and is about to work a service journey to Cromer.
