Another traditional North Eastern Independent.
A few years ago, I occasionally made the journey from Stoke on Trent to Annfield Plain to collect buses from North Eastern Bus Sales. Sometimes this was train to Durham, then service buses with a change at Stanley. The latter's bus station was for the time, an interesting place to spend the odd half hour, though like most other places, the number of 'independents' was diminishing. Diamond of Stanley had not long since ceased, but here a Bedford YRT, RUP 906M, belonging to Hunter's of Tantobie is seen departing. It's Duple Dominant 1 Express coach body has been updated by the addition of a later Dominant IV lower front panel.
I've often had cause to ponder, that if Mrs 'R' were a coach... she'd be a Dominant 1 :-)
