Thomson's 'Moseley'
Another from Bob's collection here, in fact, he drove part time for this firm. Thomson's Tours of Stoke on Trent were a small coach firm who's base was situated in Trentham and not far from Hem Heath Colliery ... the latter fact would help in its undoing but that's another story. Thomson's always maintained a small but well kept fleet of mainly 'lightweight' coaches though towards the end a Fleetline and a handful of AEC Reliances were owned.
Here's a Ford R1114 with what in the UK was known as 'Moseley Continental' coachwork, in reality, a body by Salvador Caetano of Portugal. Memory fades a little now, but I think on a 'lightweight', this was an Estoril.
Following the retirement of the legindary 'Ma Thomson', the company passed through other hands and is now a subsidiary of Meir based Copelands.
