A survivor
From Bob's collection again, here's a bus which made it into preservation. BON 472C is a single deck Daimler Fleetline which thankfully survives to this day. It is claimed that Birmingham Corporation, to whom it was delivered new, were the first operators of single decker Fleetlines. Unusually for that operator too, bodywork was by Marshall of Cambridge rather than their more usual choice of local builder, Metro Cammell.
Sorry, I've no idea where this late '70s picture was taken, but again, I'm sure someone more local to the scene will enlighten us.
