Fused Grid: Pedestrian Streets
Fused Grid: Pedestrian Streets Plus
Cities around the globe progressively apply the Fused Grid model to existing and new areas: they transform the movement network from single-mode to hybrid. Where streets gradually became predominantly vehicular and the network catering primarily to cars, certain portions of it are taken out of service for cars and are given exclusively or mainly to pedestrians. This is an organizing principle of the Fused Grid network model (see photostream and Wiki). In this hybrid system both modes work at their highest efficiency and, for pedestrians, maximum enjoyment.
