The Grid upgraded, transformed and denigrated - Vancouver

Of the seven east-west streets in this five by eight block neighbourhood none is continuous as was in its original grid layout. The grid has been adapted and upgraded to prevent through motorized traffic; pedestrians have full and uninterrupted access to every part, gaining the upper hand on cars. The grid remains but has mutated to favour people.
