Langtang Himal, Nepal, 1999

A trip to the Langtang Himal in Nepal, north of Kathmandu.

After Tom and I climbed Yala Peak (5500m) and Naya Kanga (5846m) for acclimatization, we teamed up with Simon and Dave to climb Gangchenpo {"Fluted Peak", 6387m) and attempt a new route on Morimoto Peak (6750m) where we were turned back by rotten rock and snow just short of the summit.
