Good Bon Bun resting after eating hay, seating next to her ugly donuts
At 230 this morning, all of the sudden, Bon Bun dashed out from under the bed, went straight to her hay box laying very flat and shivering. I can hear her rapid rate of breathing and pounding heart beats. I have never seen her behaved like this before. I tried to calm her down and offer her some treats, but she refuse to eat. She even turn down her favorite Oxbow papaya tabs! The only thing I could do at the time was stroke her head and massage her tummy, just in case it is GI stasis. I stay up to seat with her and continue to offer her food and she kept turning them away. She did drank some water, twice on her own.
So this morning, at 8, I took her to her vet. They can find anything wrong with her. her bowel sound was present and there are no signs of external trauma or visible insect bites. Vet wanted to do an x-ray, but I didn't have enough money for that. So they gave her some fluid SQ, metacam, baytril and Oxbow critical care to take home with.
I am happy to report back Bon Bun is eating well, pooh well and behave like her normal self again. I am not sure what happened, but I am glad it is nearly over!
