Hills in Wild Rose Canyon

We took a trip up Wild Rose Canyon to see the charcoal kilns and the mountains. Once you climb a couple thousand feet (700 meters) above the valley floor, the hillsides start to become covered in desert shrubs and annual grasses, as shown here.

The focus on this image is a bit soft due to a light wind and moderately slow shutter speed, but perhaps appropriate for the soft colors of the foreground shrubs and the blues of the hills in the distance.
