Mammatus Clouds at Sunset
We were treated to some glorious skies a couple of weeks ago as thunderstorms were building to the west just before sunset. These mammatus clouds were hanging under a thunderhead and the ones on the lefthand side of the image were brilliantly lit by the bright western skies. Those in the middle and right hand side of the image were in shadow, but I was able to pull them out of the shadows by enhancing brightness and contrast in that portion of the image.
