Salt Creek Marsh
This photo, which shows some of the saline marsh in Salt Creek, was taken further up the Salt Creek valley than the next image. Here the creek has spread out and formed a broad marsh with a series of small shallow pools that are only a few inches deep. Salt crusts are visible at the right-hand edge of the pool and on the hills in the background. It was raining slightly when I took this image, as shown by the small rings on the water's surface.
